Have you made any “Yummy Reservations” yet? If so, I would love to hear from you!
Well, I have another winner for you. This past Saturday was a “let’s find a place where we can eat outside” night. The weather was perfect! We finally decided on a popular spot in the town of York, Pennsylvania – White Rose Bar & Grill. Now I will admit that the view isn’t much – just busy traffic; but the whole “flavor” of White Rose is it’s just a fun spot to be. Good food, people watching and great drinks too (which is very important). So my hubby and I were lucky to grab a table outside – and no wait! In fact, he dropped me off, parked the car (parking free after 5 p.m. across the street) and I was already seated at a nice high top table.
First things first – drinks. Usually I may order a glass of wine, but their drink list is so inviting, I wanted to broaden my horizons. I chose their “Summer Sangria”, which had Apricot Brandy, Parrott Bay Mango AND a “splash” of the bubbly in it. If a drink has champagne in it, I’m ordering! My “date” ordered his favorite – a Grapefruit Crush. Look at the huge glass!

Although I rarely order a burger, tonight was the night. The first question my husband asked me, “Are we being good tonight?”. (which means ‘are we eating healthy?) So I decided on the White Rose Burger – 1/2 lb. burger, pulled pork BBQ and cheddar cheese. It was cooked perfectly and satisfied my craving. My hubby ordered something a little spicier – their Texas Burger – 1/2 lb. burger, jalapeno peppers, cheddar cheese and BBQ sauce. He added a side of French Fries and I added a side of onion rings and we shared. Now isn’t that romantic AND very yummy!
Oh, I forgot – their Caesar Salad is excellent and I “stole” a couple of bites from my partner’s plate, until he made a fuss.
It was a great evening to enjoy my best friend, some simple, but great food and loved eating outside on a beautiful evening. Just a side note – check out their website, http://www.whiterosebarandgrill.com. They have so much more than burgers! We have never been disappointed.
Stay tuned for more “Yummy Reservations”….
